Established in 2016, Dominion Root Control is the first company in Richmond, Virginia to bring chemical root control to both the commercial and residential markets. As the only licensed pesticide applicators for sewer line root control in the state, we are proud to be able to offer our services to homeowners and municipalities alike. DRC specializes in chemical root control, but is also very knowledgeable and adept in other forms of pipe rehab. CCTV, root control, grease control, CIPP lining, pipe bursting are all tools we utilize in our projects. Our state of the art CCTV equipment allows us to pinpoint the problem and document the footage for our customers. This is our first line of defense in determining what steps need be to taken to ensure pipeline stability and longevity.
Meet the Team
Hunter Dance, born and raised in Bon Air is the founder and co-owner of Dominion Root Control. After graduating from James River High School, he attended East Carolina University (go Pirates!!) where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Distribution and Logistics. After college, he started working in sewer rehabilitation with a focus on trenchless technologies, assisting municipalities with different methods to repair our country's aging sewer systems without having to dig and replace failing infrastructure. With the majority of his focus helping cities battle tree roots and grease in the sewers, he moved back to Richmond and started DRC in efforts to bring commercial chemical root control to the residential market. Hunter loves spending time with family and friends and brings a wealth of knowledge to our community. He enjoys finding solutions and helping clients solve their sewer problems.
Jeremy Gaughran is a Richmond native who has spent the last decade doing landscape and hardscape installations. He became interested in Dominion Root Control during its early years so he gradually began learning the ins and outs of the business. In 2020 he decided to move his project work underground, proudly joining the DRC team as co-owner. Client satisfaction is of utmost importance to Jeremy. He will ask questions until he fully understands his client's needs and he won't stop working until he is able to completely carry out a solution. During his downtime he loves hanging out with his friends, family, and dog and cheering on the Miami Dolphins.
